2020-03-01 Touché Akvavit - Double Gold in New York at 50 Best.
-- The Fifty Best Holds an Aquavit Tasting--
New York, NY, (February 28, 2020) –The Fifty Besthas for the first time shined its spotlight on Aquavit by hosting a tasting where contenders were evaluated for the distinguished “Best Aquavit” awards for 2020.
The Fifty Best is very pleased to announce that Touchè Aquavitwas awarded a Double Gold medal.
Using professional criteria, the pre-qualified panel of judges blind-tasted the aquavits and rated them individually on a 1-5 point scoring system with 5 being the highest. After tallying the scores, medals were awarded based on the judges' impressions.

The judging process, itself, is conducted as a 100% blind tasting process from the early rounds all the way through the sweepstakes rounds. We are very proud of the resultat in our first competetion and it shows the quality of our spirits.

Another amazing distillate by the @plateauspirits from Copenhagen. I never in my life tasted such a smooth aquavit. I was so amazed I wanted to know more. That was the response: “My main goal when i worked on the recipe was that it should be without all that strong burning in your mouth & stomach, it took me a long time, but please compare it to other aquavits, and i hope you will feel that mine is much smoother :-) This Aquavit is containing Fresh Dill, Organic Blue Agave Syrup, Fresh Lime, Pepper, Lakrids, White Chocolate, Apple Cider and a few other good things.

Last weekend we have tasted an amazing gin (it is really like no other - in the best possible way) that arrived to me directly from Denmark. Plateauspirits makes this gin using Juniper Orris Root Coriander Lemongrass Peach Nutmeg Blueberry Pear Licorice Lavender All fresh Botanicals. How is it produced? First they take the best possible base spirits which they make at the farm distillery. Then they peel and put in all the fresh botanicals, let them macerate for 24 hours, and then distill it all again. They are a spirits label from Copenhagen that makes different spirits like aquavit & gin. They produce their liquer in Northern Sweden in a little city called Jarvso, a dark and windy city with bears & wolves. The reason why they chose this distillery is because the liquer is top class when they make their own base spirit, cut and peel the botanicals by hand and distill the liquer twice. Their new Mezcal inspired Nordic Aquavit called "Touchè" is another really smooth drink with Blue organic agave, apple cider, white chocolate & other good things, that promises to be something really different. PLATEAU TRANQUILLITÉ Gin got its name from the inspiration for the recipe that became this unique and feminine gin.
Marie`s parents died when she was very young and therefore she went to live with her uncle in Paris, where the family owned a small hotel and bar. When she got older she started delivering small packages for her uncle, soon she realised it was gin she was delivering.
She became a well-known figure amongst the art and theatre society and soon became synonymous with her uncle`s gin.
After her first taste, she helped her uncle refine the gin to a more feminine and sophisticated gin by adding fresh Estragon, Coriander, Blueberry, Licorice, Nutmeg & Lavender to the recipe.
PLATEAU HANDCRAFTED GIN
Unusual ingredients like dragon fruit, coffee, liquorice mixed with classic ingredients like orris root, angelica root, juniper, fresh lime, and orange.
All ingredients are blended in a really nice copper pot still with 50% spirit, warmed it up slowly to 70 degrees, and macerated for at least 24 hours, before being distilled. The final gin is blended with pure mountain spring Water to end up with a 42 % strong Plateau gin.

2019-03-20 Plateau Spirits join forces with Northern Light Spirit
The world's most exclusive vodka contains the world's most expensive caviar
Plateau Spirits produces daily small batch gin and aquavit, but for a long time the small company at Frederiksberg has been working to produce an organic vodka with a taste that other vodka in the world cannot match. A vodka with taste of caviar.
Plateau Spirits has therefore struggled to get in touch with Swede Björn Uglem, who produces the world's most expensive and most exclusive caviar, Northern Light Spirit.
Björn Uglem and the Northern Light Spirit project, Plateau Spirits has become aware of during a distillery visit to Tevsjö in North Sweden. A visit that included a trip under the ice, sauna, bear sausages and not least vodka from the distillery in Tevsjö.
Björn Uglem has fixed principles, and he does not approve anyone as a partner. There must be built up a close and trustworthy relationship, preferably around a bonfire in North Scandinavia. At the same time, he demands that you do something good for life on Earth.
Björn Uglem produces his caviar, taking into account and respect for life and regrowth. The caviar is from the fish mountain red, which is only located in lakes at 1,000 meters above sea level. Fishing takes place in the autumn - usually in full snowstorm with the northern lights.
The fact that it is produced under the Northern Lights has one's significance for the caviar's property and importance among the locals at the Norwegian border.
A large part of the profit from the sale of the caviar goes to charitable projects for young people who are out of substance abuse and crime in North America.

2019-03-20 Plateau indgår samarbejde med Northern Light Spirit
Verdens mest eksklusive vodka indeholder verdens dyreste kaviar
Plateau Spirits producerer til daglig small batch gin og akvavit, men gennem længere tid har den lille virksomhed på Frederiksberg arbejdet på at fremstille en økologisk vodka med en smag, andre vodkaer i verden ikke kan måle sig med. En vodka med smag af kaviar.
Plateau Spirits har derfor kæmpet for at få kontakt til svenskeren Björn Uglem, som producerer verdens dyreste og mest eksklusive kaviar, Northern Light Spirit.
Björn Uglem og Northern Light Spirit-projektet har Plateau Spirits fået kendskab til ved et destilleri besøg i Tevsjö i Nordsverige. Et besøg der blandt andet bestod af en tur under isen, sauna, bjørne pølser og ikke mindst vodka fra destilleriet i Tevsjö.
Björn Uglem har faste principper, og han godkender ikke hvem som helst som samarbejdspartner. Der skal opbygges et nært og troværdigt forhold, gerne omkring et bål i Nordskandinavien. Samtidig kræver han, at man vil gøre noget godt for livet på Jorden.
Björn Uglem fremstiller sin kaviar under hensyn til og respekt for liv og genvækst. Kaviaren er fra fisken mountain red, der kun befinder sig i søer i 1.000 meter over havets overflade. Fiskeriet foregår om efteråret – som regel i fuld snestorm med nordlys.
Det at den bliver fremstillet under Nordlys har en vis betydning for kaviarens egenskab og betydning blandt de lokale ved den Norske grænse.
En stor del af overskuddet fra salget af kaviaren går til velgørende projekter for unge, som er ude i stofmisbrug og kriminalitet i Nordamerika.

Swedish magazine 'Alt Om Whisky' have in a blind test ranked Plateau Gin as number 2 in the catagory Destilled Gin. Amoung several wordclass producers Plateau Spirits first gin "Plateau" came second in the competition.

En small-batch gin som öppnar med tydliga bergamottdrag. Emma menar att doften lyckas vara både elegant och komplex med mycket citrus. David hittar bergamott, citrus och kardemumma. Alex är med på kardemummareferensen »om du tänker på själva kapseln. Riktigt bra!« Olof gillar den oljiga känslan med citrus och bergamott.
